For the optional quiz, do we have to be able to tell the difference between a squirrel’s skull and a prairie dog’s skull? If so, how do we tell?
A prairie dog’s upper teeth make a bit of a V shape, with the wide part of the V nearest the nose, as in this photo:

A squirrel’s teeth tend to be more parallel, or curved out slightly in the middle (more rounded than V shaped, if that makes sense), such as:

However, most of the questions on the optional quiz will have a skin with them, and those that are skull only won’t be tricky.
