My name is Jonathan Morrill. I was born and raised in Colorado, and lived in Colorado Springs my whole life until I came to Fort Collins to study at Colorado State. I came to CSU because I wanted to stay in Colorado. Besides, the football team and other sports are superior to other Colorado schools. I am a Biology student. In the spring of 2002 I started working in the Pilon-Smits lab. I was lucky enough to have Professor Pilon as a teacher and he gave me an opportunity to work in the lab. I am working with Jason Burkhead characterizing copper homeostasis in Arabidopsis thaliana chloroplasts. The experience and knowledge I have gained from the experience has been immense.
I love to skiing and other outdoor sports. Last winter I was lucky enough to wash busses for Keystone so that I could ski free. Eventually I want to become a medical doctor or do research in medicine. This summer I got certified as an EMT-B so I can get medical experience. I also coach various sports for the Special Olympics, and those are my favorite days of the week.
