| Hello! I'm Jared Bodecker, a first year PhD student in Dr. Pilon's lab. My work revolves around Iron-Sulfur cluster assembly and the proteins involved in its synthesis and regulation. I graduated at Colorado State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Microbiology and worked in the Pilon-Smits lab as an undergraduate till then. Post-graduation, I've worked in two labs at CSU, Dr. Carlson's Virology lab, involved with Densonucleosis Virus as a bio-control of mosquito populations of Aedes egyptii; and in Dr. Medford's lab, involving Synthetic Biology and Biosensors in Arabidopsis thaliana. I moved to Fort Collins, CO in 1995 from San Diego, CA, and I love everything about this state; the people, places, mountains, snow and the unpredictable weather. I love to play soccer, snowboarding, rafting, hiking, camping, live musical performances and breathing in this fresh Colorado air! | ||
