TRANSPORTATION FROM DIA TO FORT COLLINS

EEID-PROVIDED VANS

One of the unfortunate constraints in conducting a meeting in Fort Collins is the distance between the city and the nearest major airport. Denver International Airport is approximately 70 miles from Fort Collins and Colorado State University. Though there are additional options for getting from DIA to Fort Collins, we wanted to provide an alternative for our participants. We will be running a series of 15 passenger vans using graduate students and postdocs from CSU as drivers. Our plan is to reserve 8 seats in each van on a first-come first-served basis with the remainder being reserved for overflow (delayed flights, etc.), luggage, and to make sure workshop faculty and speakers are guaranteed slots. Vans will run on Sunday, May 15; Wednesday, May 18; and on Sunday, May 22 according to the schedules posted below. Please use the link below to notify us of which van you prefer, along with an alternative if your preference is full.

IMPORTANT: Van drivers will meet arriving participants at Door 517 (see below) on the baggage claim level of the main terminal. Drivers will make every effort to be in place at the arrival time posted on the schedule. If you miss your scheduled van because of delays, etc., please just plan to take the next available shuttle. If you have questions when you arrive, or have any difficulty finding the driver when they are scheduled to be in place please call Chris (970-217-4835) -- NOTE: please do NOT call if you miss your shuttle -- just plan to take the next van, only call if there is a serious issue in finding the arrival spot.

ALTERNATIVES TO EEID VANS

In case your flight is late or you miss the shuttles provided by CSU, commercial shuttles are available from Denver International Airport to Fort 
Collins. The Shamrock Airport Express is located on the Terminal Main Level just left of where the escalators bring you up from the train. The shuttle costs $24 and will drop you at the Courtyard Marriott, the 
Marriott Hotel, University Park Holiday Inn, CSU Transit Center, or non-hotel Fort Collins locations for an additional $5.
